Ingredients
Lamb Chops – The lamb is the main player in this Honey-Glazed Lamb Chops Recipe dish, so choosing the right chop is key! There are actually several cuts of lamb that are all considered chops. There is the loin chop which is a big t-bone style chop, the sirloin chop which is an economical chop, and the shoulder chop a quick-cooking favorite. For this Honey-Glazed Lamb Chops Recipe recipe, shoulder chops are a great choice. They are lean and offer a faster cooking time than a thick loin chop. Always pick fresh lamb over frozen and watch the color; fresh lamb should look nice and pink without discoloration.
Thyme – Thyme has a tantalizing smell that brings to mind freshness and comfort food. It’s the perfect herbal complement to the grassy and meaty flavor of a great lamb chop!
Himalayan Salt – Pretty pink Himalayan salt is more than just good looks! This Honey-Glazed Lamb Chops Recipe salt is more natural and unrefined than table salt making it the healthier and more stylish option!
Onion Powder, Dried Parsley, and Garlic Powder – These three dried spices build a fresh and savory flavor in the marinade that chops soak up. You can substitute the dried parsley for fresh, but be sure to triple the amount because dried herbs have a more concentrated flavor than fresh.
Olive Oil – A little oil turns this marinade into a nice spreadable liquid that you can slather all over the raw chops. Save some olive oil for the sauce, because you will use it there as well.
Tamari Sauce – Tamari is the base of the sweet, salty, and citrusy sauce for these delicious lamb chops. Tamari is an awesome alternative to traditional soy sauce. It is made without wheat so it is safe for gluten-free eaters; plus, tamari has a less salty and more well-rounded flavor.
Honey – Honey is a delectable sweetener that adds floral notes in addition to sugary sweetness. To keep this meal low-carb, seek out a sugar-free honey.
Butter – Creamy and rich butter brings a decadent sheen to the luscious honey sauce.
Erythritol – This is a sugar-free sweetener with a nice neutral flavor. It is just the ingredient to kick up the sweet and salty flavor in this sauce!
Lemon Juice – Lemon juice balances the extra-sweet taste of honey perfectly making it more mellow and delicious.
